Nicole Marrone, PhD, CCC-A, was honored by the Office of the Provost with the inaugural Community Impact Faculty Award. This is given to a faculty member who has "significantly contributed to embedding community and engagement into a structural or institutional aspect of the University through policies or practices," and demonstrates "a commitment to retaining and recruiting faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds, promoting equality of opportunity, and fostering a welcoming and supportive campus environment."

Dr. Marrone received this award for her work with Grad CAFE (Graduate Communities for Academic Fellowship and Efficacy), an NSF-funded strengths-based, holistic, interdisciplinary, intersectional, multi-tiered mentoring community housed at the Graduate Center which focuses on mentoring graduate students in STEM fields.
